Long before I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, I had sarcoidosis.
It was a beautiful day, and I was working for Mercedes Benz in Santa Monica, California. I was manning the 36-line switchboard and began to have serious heart palpitations. I let the general manager know and I needed to go to the hospital, which was around the corner from the dealership.
I'm laying down waiting for an E. R. doctor to come in. The E.R. doctor walks in an says hello an then said... as he leans directly over my face looking at the rash on my face he says " I hope to God you don't have Lupus" mind you I was there for my heart; but I had the typical rash on my face that fit Lupus/sarcoidosis (but. not knowing) it So, I said, I'm here for my Heart. This issue that my rashes on my face, arms and chest fit Lupus or something. But my life was busy, and I ignored it and my symptoms the rashes I had. It was years later 5 to be exact that I was diagnosed with Ocular Sarcoidosis. Was it possible I had a dual diagnosis of Lupus and Sarcoidosis. I do want to add I did not get the marker on my lung that I had a sarcoidosis granuloma on my lung until it was more then 10yrs after the rashes, and Ocular diagnosis. So, I in fact had sarcoidosis long before it was diagnosed....
